Biography
Alexandra Cooreman (2003) begon op haar vijfde met vioolspelen en betrad het podium voor het eerst op 6-jarige leeftijd.
Als uitzonderlijk jong talent werd ze in 2013 toegelaten tot de prestigieuze Koningin Elisabeth Muziekkapel te Waterloo waar ze studeerde bij Augustin Dumay en Tatiana Samouil.
Alexandra vervolgde haar muzikale opleiding aan de Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid bij Anna Chumachenco en aan de Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Keulen bij Michaela Martin.
De Belgisch-Poolse violiste heeft eerste prijzen in de wacht gesleept op o.a. de de Kocian Violin Competition, Breughel Concours en Grumiaux International Competition.
Al vanaf zeer jonge leeftijd soleerde Alexandra met diverse orkesten zoals het Filharmonisch Orkest van Sint-Petersburg, het Gulbenkian Orchestra Lissabon, het Koninklijk Kamerorkest van Wallonie, de Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, de European Philharmonia en de Vlaamse Kamerfilharmonie.
Daarnaast heeft ze masterclasses gevolgd bij wereldbekende muzikanten zoals Augustin Dumay, Yuri Bashmet, Giuliano Carmignola, Pavel Vernikov, Jean-Claude Vanden Eyden, Michaela Martin, Catherine Cho, Hye-Jin Kim, Ida Kavafian en Ani Kavafian...
In 2014 mocht Alexandra invulling geven aan het kerstconcert in het Koninklijk Paleis te Brussel. Tevens nam ze in 2018 deel aan de Eurovision Young Musicians-wedstrijd in Edinburgh waar ze België vertegenwoordigde.
Samen met Renaud Capuçon voerde zij het dubbelconcerto van Bach uit in de Flagey, begeleid door het Koninklijk Kamerorkest van Wallonie onder leiding van Frank Braley. Dit jaar werd ze door Renaud Capuçon uitgenodigd om op zijn festival ‘Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad’ een recital voor te dragen met pianist Kojiro Okada.
Momenteel studeert Alexandra aan de befaamde Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia waar ze een opleiding geniet bij professor Ida Kavafian.
De violiste heeft een moderne viool (2017), gebouwd door Charles Coquet, in bruikleen van El Pasito.

Un jeune talent exceptionnel, elle est admise en 2013 à la prestigieuse Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth de Waterloo, où elle étudie avec Augustin Dumay et Tatiana Samouil.
Alexandra a poursuivi sa formation musicale à l'Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia à Madrid avec Anna Chumachenco et à la Hochschule für Musik und Tanz à Cologne avec Michaela Martin.
La violoniste belgo-polonaise a remporté de nombreux premiers prix entre autres au Concours de Violon Kocian, au Concours Breughel et au Concours International Grumiaux.
Dès son plus jeune âge, Alexandra a joué en soliste avec divers orchestres tels que l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Saint-Pétersbourg, l'Orchestre Gulbenkian de Lisbonne, l'Orchestre Royal deChambre de Wallonie, l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Pardubice, l'European Philharmonia et le Flemish Chamber Philharmonic.
Elle a également suivi des masterclasses avec des musiciens de renommée mondiale tels qu'Augustin Dumay, Yuri Bashmet, Giuliano Carmignola, Pavel Vernikov, Jean-Claude Vanden Eyden, Michaela Martin, Catherine Cho, Hye-Jin Kim, Ida Kavafian et Ani Kavafian...
En 2014, Alexandra s’est produite en public au concert de Noël au Palais Royal de Bruxelles. Elle a également participé au concours Eurovision Young Musicians à Édimbourg en 2018, où elle a représenté la Belgique.
Accompagnée par l'Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie sous la direction de Frank Braley, elle a interprété avec Renaud Capuçon le double concerto de Bach à Flagey et a été invitée cette année par Renaud Capuçon à donner un récital à son festival "Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad" avec le pianiste Kojiro Okada.
Alexandra étudie actuellement à la célèbre Curtis Institute of Music de Philadelphie où elle est formée par la professeur Ida Kavafian.
La violoniste possède en ce moment un violon moderne (2017), construit par Charles Coquet, prêté par la fondation El Pasito.
